Welcome to our world.
I am a mechanic by trade but I have a passion for cars. And TV. Put those two together, you find the reason why I have started this site. TV shows in the 1980s, in my opinion, were probably the best there ever was. They included some of the best vehicles, best characters, best ‘taches…. there hasn’t been anything better since.
Whilst Airwolf was a favourite, I can’t afford a helicopter. CHIPS, great – don’t do two wheels. The A Team, the medallion of the 80s was not the best choice in fashion and I can’t grow the ‘tache of Magnum, so that’s that. What I did love and still very much do, was the unmistakeable silhouette of KITT. Who hasn’t wanted one of their own ever since? Somebody to talk to, to share the open road with and it’s always a bonus for someone else to aim the missiles.
This is my pride and joy; this is my KITT. Just look at it. Doesn’t that bring back all those memories? Maybe a little jealousy there, hmm?
Its been a passion project for the last five years and now it’s finished. It’s completely road and show worthy, so that’s what we do with it. Maybe we’ll see you at a show in the future.
But wait, there’s more……
A new project has been started. The main reason why we started this blog/site, because we didn’t document all the work that went into KITT, we wanted to make sure that everything is recorded for this new project. Yes, it’s another 80s iconic vehicle and yes, you’re going to love it.
I hope you enjoy my ramblings and that you want to stick around for the journey. Drop a comment, have a chat, everyone is welcome.
